Auditions for the 2016-2017 season will be held on August 17, 2016. If you are interested in singing with us, please submit the application below and you will be notified of the time and place for your audition.
Audition format: The audition lasts about 20 minutes and will consist of vocalizing, sight reading, and a prepared piece of your choice (accompaniment will be provided). Candidates should be able to sing with a straight tone and be comfortable singing with a small number of voices on a part.
Performance schedule: We perform four concert sets per season, with performances in Berkeley, San Francisco, and Palo Alto.
Rehearsal schedule: There is a six-week rehearsal period prior to performances, with a single intensive Saturday rehearsal at the start of a set. Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7-10 p.m. in Palo Alto. Music is distributed in advance and singers are expected to learn it before the first rehearsal.
Dues: Dues are $100 for each concert set. There may be an additional charge for music. If you are a full-time student, please inquire about our internship program. Dues are waived for interns.
