Join members of the California Bach Society under the direction of Artistic Director Paul Flight in singing and exploring music by the great masters of the Early German Baroque period. Dr. Flight will lead the workshop in rehearsing excerpts from the Missa Octo Vocum by Hans Leo Hassler, along with motets by Jacob and Michael Praetorius, Johann Hermann Schein, and Samuel Scheidt. Come learn more about these fine composers, many of whom were responsible for bringing the Venetian polychoral style across the Alps and disseminating it to the German-speaking world.
