Our 2023-2024 Season

Our 53rd season showcases our signature sound in music from the Baroque to the 20th Century. We start with Bach’s towering masterpiece, the Mass in B Minor, produced in a special collaboration with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. For the holidays, we present the delightful Weihnachtshistorie (The Christmas Story), by Baroque composer Johann Rosenmüller. Our third concert features choral music from Ukraine and Estonia, including works by Arvo Pärt. And we conclude with a program showcasing Bach’s Northern German predecessors Tunder, Schop, and Buxtehude, concluding with a grand motet by Bach himself. Join us for a season of Bach-to-Bach choral gems with plenty of rare delights in between.

CBS’s repertory is particularly engaging and rewarding, giving us a chance to explore many fine works of music we would otherwise be unaware of or have little chance of hearing.
